In December of 2014, I had a bit of a health scare, which snowballed into a series of events. End result, a complete change in my dietary habits resulting in some extremely positive results.
Rather than go into a long boring narrative, I decided to put it down with as few words as possible and lay in a few graphics, as a picture is worth a thousand words.
For the past few decades my life:

My GP told me to cut back on cheese and keep taking my meds, but go see a specialist for the neuropathy.
This Neurologist after reviewing my information said to me quite bluntly; my family medical history indicates my next 15 to 20 years were going to be an ugly, horrible, sad affair with endless visits to doctors, procedures, operations and drugs. As I had just turned 60, I got a bit unnerved.
He then told me he could cure me and get me off of all medications. hmmmmmmm:
I did it for health reasons.. I will still eat a bit of chicken or fish a once a month or so, but as a rule, no beef, pork, processed foods, or dairy of any kind.
The results. I am off all of my blood pressure, cholesterol, neuropathy meds. Friggin amazing. What is most amazing is 98% of all Doctors will prescribe countless meds and drugs but never once tell you to stop putting garbage in your face. What the fudge is up with that.
In some future blogs I will get into a bit more detail on my favorite foods and my own recipes.( I am quite the kitchen wizard ). I really do hope you come back and check out the site from time to time and expect to have a little bit of fun with me.
One critically important note. If you decide to explore this somewhat radical change, ( it's really not as radical as bypass surgery, amputation or taking multiple medications with who knows what kind of side effects) I do take 3 supplements. A plant based protein, a B12 and occasionally a Vitamin D (especially in the winter months.).
